1800 century Large solid brass kalash with had carved peacocks flowers and other design pictures all around kalash.<br>The Purna-Kalasha is worshipped in all Hindu festivities related to marriage and childbirth, as a mother goddess or Devi. In this context, the metal pot or Kalasha represents material things: a container of fertility - the earth and the womb, which nurtures and nourishes life.<br>Used for puja prayer .<br>This is from my grandmother.Kalash is solid brass with beautiful hand carved pattern.Pot hold about 36 Oz of water.Similar sold for $400<br>Appraisal value $580 <br>Need new home now and I am trying to downsize .<br>Hold 42 oz water .heavy in weight.<br>
