1930 Ash Wednesday by T. S. Eliot, Faber & Faber Ltd.

T. S. Eliot’s Ash Wednesday was his first long poem written after converting to Anglicanism. Exploring themes of spiritual longing, renunciation, and transformation, this work marks a pivotal moment in Eliot’s poetic evolution. This is the Second Impression, printed in May 1930 by Faber & Faber Ltd., just one month after the initial release.

The title page bears a subtle blind-embossed mark reading “P.M.P.” near the bottom—likely a personal stamp from a prior owner, adding a quiet note of provenance to this early volume.

Fair to good. Covers show some fading, mild rubbing, and light staining to rear; slight spine lean. Foxing to endpapers and a few interior margins, but text remains clean and crisp. Gilt on spine and cover still bright. A collectible early edition with beautiful period styling. Please see all pictures to determine condition.

I have hundreds of antique and vintage books, see my other listings!

Thanks for looking!
