This 1972-D Lincoln Penny has multiple mint errors we think caused from a damaged die. Under a 5x coin microscope there's no indication of coin alteration; the missing letters look to be original from the mint. There is also an apparent die strike error on the reverse in the motto. This penny was struck off-center as you can clearly see from the rim below the bust of Lincoln. This is a really nice coin to have for those who like to collect error coins. This coin is the exact coin the buyer will receive.
