Selling my beloved Lapponia "Diplomatic" sterling silver ring from the early 2000s. <br><br>Smooth, poetic, modern design by Poul Havgaard for Lapponia is so comfortable. Alas, no longer fits.<br><br>Purchased at artisanal jewelry shop in Piermont NY outside NYC. Includes certificate of authenticity & sparkly padded Lapponia bag.<br><br>Havgaard is a Danish artist who designed jewelry for Lapponia from 1971-2008. https poulhavgaard.com/about/<br><br>The ring is characteristic of Lapponia under the auspices of cofounder Bjorn Weckstrom with its subtle, precise curves and mottled surface emphasizing silver's warmth and individuality.<br><br>The 7mm band is encircled by a raised undulating line. One side of the line is smooth, the other is subtly textured. <br><br>I see it as a landscape--sea and sky, snowdrift and cloud. Or just a cool abstract design that goes round to infinity. Each quarter-inch twist gives you a different view.<br><br>Normal wear ("patina") but no damage.
