This is an antique Chinese hand-carved ivory piece that represents a dragon motif decorative plate. Some 10 years ago, there were lots of these carved-out plates available for sale on the Internet. Prior to my listing this item for sale, it has been at least 2 years since I have seen another. The detail of the carvings is exquisite, and the filigreed carve-out pattern around the rim is simply exceptional.
