This watch dial is a bit of a mystery. I can't find any other examples of this dial or any dial with the brand name Ed. Mathey online.
The brand name on the dial is "Ed. Mathey".
Ed. Mathey is Edmond Mathey, the founder of the world-famous Swiss watch company "Mathey-Tissot".
Presumably, this dial is from a watch he made before becoming Mathey-Tissot.
Believe it or not, I rescued this dial from a mixed media piece of art where someone had used the dial as a ball in their artwork. I purchased the artwork and removed the dial. The artwork was pretty old from the 1980s. Untested.
